What is DM Now?

When an eligible Instagram interaction matches an active automation, DM Now can send the response you configured. That response can carry a link, a lead magnet, an offer, a follow ask, or an AI-generated answer. People reached by the automation are saved in your account, subject to plan limits and Meta availability.

• Comment automation. Reply to eligible matching comments on configured posts and reels, and DM the commenter your link or offer.
• Story automation. Respond to eligible text story replies; standalone reactions, polls and sticker payloads are not guaranteed.
• Live automation. Send one private reply to an eligible matching live comment while the broadcast is active.
• DM automation. Eligible inbound DMs can receive a configured response when an active automation matches.
• Ask for follow. Add a follow request; Meta may expose follower status after supported profile consent, but comment-only senders can remain unknown.
• Re-trigger. Replay up to 500 eligible previously skipped interactions after enabling an automation; visual flows are excluded.
• Lead generation. Request email, phone or name and manage completed responses in the built-in CRM.
• AI replies. Optional Pro AI can use configured business context for otherwise unmatched inbound DMs, within a fixed allowance.

Just as important as the feature list. DM Now is not a cold-outreach tool — it cannot message strangers, and only replies to people who interacted with your content first. It is not a scheduler or content tool — it does not publish feed posts, reels or stories. It may publish a configured public reply to a triggering comment. It is not a growth-hack bot — it never follows, unfollows, likes, or scrapes, and it never asks for your Instagram password. Everything runs through Meta’s official Instagram messaging platform with your explicit authorization.

1. Choose your trigger. Pick the keyword or eligible event rule for comments, text story replies, lives or DMs.
2. Write the response. Configure the permitted DM copy and, where supported, an optional public acknowledgement.
3. Track the outcome. Review sent, skipped and failed actions and any completed lead fields in Activity and CRM.

Beyond simple keyword replies, a visual flow builder lets you chain supported steps — send a DM, wait for a reply, ask for an email, and branch on the answer. The event simulator is a development-only diagnostic and is not part of the production product.
